We’ve been rushed off our feet here at BP towers lately and neglected our blog a little bit over the past few weeks. So to get us back on track we thought we’d start off this week with a blog post supporting the fundraising efforts of a special little girl called Ruby and her Family.
The Baby Planners are hoping to help Ruby and her family to raise the £600 they need for Ruby to attend the Lorna Wing Center for Autism and get a diagnosis.
This diagnosis will enable Ruby to get the professional help and therapies needed to learn about and cope with the everyday difficulties faced with autism.
In order to raise the money needed Ruby’s family will be holding a raffle.
The Baby Planners are donating some items and we want everyone who reads this post to get involved too.
There are 3 ways in which you can help:
1. Donate an item to the raffle.
2. Buy raffle tickets.
3. Donate directly to Ruby’s fund.
If you would like to help in anyway, you can contact Ruby’s Mother Leann on 07709586294 or e-mail The Baby Planners at firstname.lastname@example.orgRead More
This week The Baby Planners are featuring a special charity on our blog – From Babies With Love.
Their mission is to fund the care of orphaned and abandoned babies and children around the world because they believe every baby should have a fair start in life, no matter where they are born.
From Babies With Love sell gorgeous organic baby clothes from their website Frombabieswithlove.org and give 100% of the profit to charity. This is possible because From Babies With Love is run by professional volunteers who don’t receive any salary or benefits.
Cecilia Crossley the founder of From Babies With Love has written a great post for us about what they do and who they help. Please read and support this fantastic charity.
Meet Ousmane, the first baby www.frombabieswithlove.org is using its profit to support
Ousmane is a sweet little 18 month old boy from Guinea, West Africa. His foster mother wrote to let us know how he’s getting on: he’s now walking – keeps trying to turn on the tv! – and likes to follow his foster siblings every where they go.
Ousmane is the first baby we’re using our profits to support. We sell beautiful organic baby clothes and donate 100% of our profits to charities supporting orphaned and abandoned children. We’ve begun by donating to the fantastic charity SOS Children, who run dedicated children’s villages around the world, providing a loving home for babies like Ousmane to have a second chance in life.
Guinea is among the poorest countries in Africa. Sadly, Ousmane’s father died, and his mother was not in a position to care for him. But he now has a new, permanent home, where he can grow up safely, loved by his foster family and he will receive an education.
The children’s village where Ousmane lives has eleven family houses. There is a school and a nursery, taking children from the neighbourhood as well as the children’s village. Ousmane is an independent little boy; he has started nursery in the toddler class and gets on well with the nursery nanny and other children. He’s starting to say a few words
– which really makes me smile as my son, who’s the same age as Ousmane, is beginning to speak too and I’m finding its such a fun and adorable phase!
Through our donations Ousmane will get a fairer start to life than would otherwise have been possible. Thanks to
our wonderful customers for making this difference to his life; our customers enjoy their beautiful products and enjoy knowing they’ve helped a baby in need. As we grow we’ll be supporting more babies and share news of how they’re growing up. Come and join us!
